At times you may be away from your computer or do not want to be disturbed.

You can change your online 'status' from the 'actions' menu on the main 'pal list window'.

select 'change my status'

select one of the following options

- normal
you will show as in 'online' mode to all users that have you added to their 'pal list'

users may contact you according to your privacy settings

- away
you will show as in 'away' mode to all users that have you added to their 'pal list'

users may contact you according to your privacy settings

you will not receive invites to chat rooms or file transfer requests

- do not disturb
you will show as in 'do not disturb' mode to all users that have you added to their 'pal list'

users may not initiate contact with you

you may initiate contact with any user in any online state that is on your 'pal list'

from this point on this user may initiate invites to chat rooms or file transfers

- invisible
you will show as in 'offline' mode to all users that have you added to their 'pal list'

users may not initiate contact with you

you may initiate contact with any user in any online state that is on your 'pal list'

when you initiate contact with another user, you will appear as 'online' to that user

from this point on this user may initiate invites to chat rooms or file transfers
