At this time Paltalk supports AOL, ICQ, MSN and Yahoo messengers

When you log into another IM service you can add your pals from that service to your 'pal list'. Once they are on your 'pal list' you can open IM sessions (chats) with them, and even invite them into a multimedia chat room on Paltalk!

To add a pal from another IM service to your 'pal list' follow these steps...

Step 1
login to the IM service that your pal uses by selecting 'login to other IM service' from the 'file' menu on the main 'pal list window'

Step 2
once you are logged into the IM service select the 'pals tab' on the main 'pal list window'

Step 3
click the '+ add pals from other IM' selection on the top of scrolling 'pal list' area

the 'add pal from other IM service' window launches

Step 4
enter the nickname or email address of the person you would like to add into the 'nickname' text entry box on top of the 'add pals from other IM' window

Step 5
select the service that the person uses with the nickname that you previously entered by clicking on the appropriate 'radio button' next to the IM service name

Step 6
press the 'ok' button

A message will be sent to the IM service with your request and be processed according to that users privacy settings on that IM service.

If the user is successfully added to your 'pal list' they will appear either as 'online' or 'offline' on your 'pal list' with the appropriate graphic 'icon' representing the service that the nickname is associated with.
