Sound tuning
This area lets you make settings to accommodate various sound cards and can also help with a weak internet connection.

To get to this window select 'setup preferences' from the 'file' menu on the main Paltalk pal list window.

Place checkmarks in the boxes to activate the desired functions.

Increased Sampling Rate
Allows higher compression of audio.

Reduce to 8 bit sound
Provides compatibility for older sound cards. Reduces 'sputtering' in audio.

Larger Packet Size
Reduces breakup in audio.

Longer Delay
May help 'garbled' sound

Half Duplex
Provides compatibility with older sound cards.

Firewall/Network Support
Selecting this box forces you to use a TCP connection.  This works for most home networks.
